QuackQuack has reached 20 million users in India, recording over 10 million downloads in the last year.

The app is seeing significant national popularity, with over 21 million chats last month, 1.2 million matches in the past year, and 34,000 new photos uploaded everyday. New statistics show the app also has a growing presence in the country’s northeastern states including Assam, Tripura and Manipur.

To celebrate this milestone, the app is running a publicity campaign featuring Bollywood star Aahana Kumra that looks to reach new and existing users in larger Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, as well as build foundations in smaller suburbs.

The dating platform prides itself on its simplicity, aiming to match individuals with similar interests and get them talking using Waves, ready-made one liners.

Analysis from QuackQuack earlier this year looked at the development of friendships on the app. It found that 54% of women and 40% of men are interested in sparking up a friendship whilst using the platform.
